100 on 100 Relay Details
The event starts early in the morning on August 10th, with a staggered start depending on your team’s submitted pace and ends with most teams finishing between 7:30 PM and 11:00 PM.
How It Works
Our race operates like just about any other relay. One runner is allowed on the course at a time and must complete the entire leg before handing off at the designated transition zones. In total, there are 18 legs. Team members not on the course will shuttle their teams between transition zones.
Whether an ultra-team of 2-3 runners or full team of 4-6 runners, you are expected to follow the same runner sequence throughout the race. There is an exception to that rule in the case that a runner is incapacitated and unable to continue. In that case, the next runner in the rotation should move up to that slot.
Captains will fill out a team registration form along with payment to secure their entire team’s spot in the event.
Starting at the Trapp Family Lodge Bierhall (yes, those Von Trapps), the course covers 100 miles on scenic Route 100 from Stowe to Ludlow. Along the way, you’ll experience picturesque covered bridges, rolling fields, and majestic mountains while winding through the Breadloaf Wilderness, Killington Mountain Resort, and the Ben & Jerry’s Factory Store. You’ll finish your race at theJackson Gore Village at
Okemo Ice House (36 Jackson Gore Rd, Ludlow, VT 05149), where the post-race party will be waiting for you.
The final 2024 course guidebook will be posted closer to race day, so stay tuned!
How To Use The Interactive Map Above
Note: The 2024 course is not finalized and the interactive map is only a preliminary course from previous years. Please review this section prior to the event for the final course map. Extreme weather events, construction, and road closures all play a part in finalizing the course. We thank you in advance for your patience!
To use the interactive course map above, please click on each colored section to view a specific relay leg. Once clicked on, each colored section will have a start and finish location, distance, terrain, elevation gain, and relay leg number listed in the description. If your team is comprised of six or three members, it will also have listed which runner should be running that leg.
The green flag at the top of the map indicates the event start area while the orange flag at the bottom of the map indicates the event finish area.
There are seventeen runner figures on the map. Each figure represents a specific transition area. To view each transition area, please click on the runner figure. Once clicked on, the transition area name, description, and location will appear in the map legend.
Race Start Times
The race features a rolling start which will consist of several different waves. Each wave will contain teams around the same projected finish time. Teams with the slowest projected finish time will start the earliest and teams with the fastest projected finish time will start the latest.
Exact wave start times will be finalized and published on Monday, July 31st, 2024.
Teams will be notified of their start times approximately two weeks before the event. With this in mind, we strongly suggest your entire team stays at or near the Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, VT who graciously serves as the start area. The lodge offers top notch service in their 96 hotel rooms.
Go Stowe is the visitor information resource for Stowe area lodging, dining, shopping, attractions, events and more.

This vehicle must display the official vehicle sign that will be given at packet pickup. Ample parking will be available for all team vehicles at the start and finish of the race.
Please note that all teams are responsible for coordinating and booking their own transportation.
Packet pickup will take place on Friday, August 9th from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM and Saturday, August 10th from 4:45 AM – 9:30 AM at the Trapp Family Lodge Bierhall located at 133 Luce Hill Road, Stowe, VT 05672.
